Pioneer RV Resort 120 Gulfwind Drive Port Aransas, TX 78373 RVer Reviews 3/24/2005 8:52 AM We are staying at the Pioneer RV resort in Port Aransas, TX as I write & we will NOT be back!! It's too crowded with not enough security for this many people. The laundry room is way too small to accomodate this many people. The people in the front office are some of the RUDEST we've ever encountered. The sites are well maintained & the pond with the birds is very nice, but the overall rudeness by the staff overrides this!! Poison was sprayed on the mosquitos on each site in the middle of the night without our permission or knowledge - we have a 5 month old puppy who vomited the next day after walking on the grass behind our site - we found out later the cause! As we were walking back from the pool, a pickup with 2 men (they were not guests of the park) stopped us & asked for 'directions to the titty bar' - as soon as they rolled down their window, you could smell the alcohol on them - they were rapidly driving around the park with children on bikes etc.- no security stopped them & when my husband told the 'security person' about it, he just laughed!! This resort is great for young people or heavy drinkers - we are neither & will not be back to this resort!!
