Destination South Padre Island, Texas 01/31/2005 We booked 3 nights here. We were very surprised by the bathrooms being closed from 10:45 to 7:00 am. Why? Do they think we're gonna steal toilet paper?! Also, the space they put us in was so small, our slide-out ran into the picnic table of the people behind us! Our picnic table was stradling the sewer connection of the unit in front of us. I guess you need a million dollar rig (instead of a 30' fifth wheel like ours) to get a decent spot. The facilities were nice, but next time I'll take the county park for $20 less per night so I can use the toilet at 11 o'clock!!

My wife and I have found this resort to be one of the most pleasant stays that we have ever had. The staff here is very professional and
helpful. The view we have of Laguna Madre Bay is outstanding. What else does one need? We will be back here as often as possible.

Destination south padre rv park
We have stayed in this park 2 times now and have even booked a 3rd ., We have been very pleased with the park but the only bad thing is you can’t use the bathroom between the hours of 10:45 pm to 7:00 am and then when they do open the cleaning lady tells you it would be another 15 min this is stupid the rv park should try to accomidate every customer that doesn’t have a $ 200000.00 motor home with a master size bathroom. My suggestion to them is place several stalls around the park that can be used in the hours that the main building is closed. For god sakes people we cant hold it that long its not only uncomfortable its unhealthy Oh and by the time you get to the pier restroom (it closes at 2.00 am) ITS TO LATE!

Our party, three rigs each time, has been guests at this resort 2 times this year. We found it to be impeccably clean and the staff to be professional and helpful. The price was higher than the county park; however, with all the site services and resort amenities are taken into consideration, the rates were not that different. We will be back.

your review is identical to what we endured there, at Destinations. It was a horrible weekend with that little guy in his golf cart, just terrorising all of us. He threatened to get me removed too. I was offended. I had just arrived from my long 6 hour trip (Houston) and was ready for my first beer. We vowed to never go there again. The last time we were there was Memorial weekend of 2001. I can't remember his name, just an old hag, looked like he'd been to hell and back.
I heard he had been let go. WE have plans to stay there on Labor Day 2003 ONLY for that reason. Let's see how we're treated this time. A real shame that such a nice place has such horrible Mgmt.

Destination RV Park
South Padre Island, TX
This park sits on the Gulf of Mexico and provides beautiful ocean breezes and views. The sites are
not concrete or dirt, but very uncomfortable 2" rocks. We were travelling with my cousins in their
rig and arrived and registered about 4pm on Good Friday. Having finished registering, my cousin left
the office only to trip on the parquet designed red brick walk way. We spent that evening in the
hospital in Brownsville, returning to the park at 5am on Saturday morning. We slept most of that
day, until about 2pm, and desided to walk through the park to avoid feeling like the day was a total
loss and see the pool and dolphin viewing platform. When we approached the brick walkway, my cousin
mentioned that 'this is where I fell', which was immediately responded to by an employee of the
park.. He got in my cousin's face in a way that made me wonder if he had
been drinking! He accused her of trying to 'make a case' by telling me about her fall and by
'flaunting her broken arm' around the park for everyone to see, and by 'making his employees
nervous' (about WHAT, I wonder!). I told him he was interrupting a private conversation, which
make him quite aggressive. Because of my speaking up to him about his rudeness, he ordered me out
of the park, and told me he had called the sherrif, and told my cousin to gather their money to pay
my bail because I was going to jail!! You would have HAD to be there to believe his over reaction to
what started out as a simple conversation! We waited for the sherrif until 11:30pm that night (our
second ruined night!) and he never showed, at least not to knock on our doors. The next morning,
feeling like we were the talk of the park because of all the guests who overheard the ensueing
arguementthe night before, we packed up and left as he ORDERED. We spent all day Easter looking for
a park in the area that could accomodate us... OUR THIRD DAY RUINED. We left the Gulf two days later
and don't care to go back. I think these people (at least the manager of the park ) should have
shown some compassion for my cousin and her broken arm instead of the contempt he displayed! I'll
never go back... and I'll tell everyone who will listen about this very non-professional, rude
manager who threatened us and tried to tell us that HE was the park owner!
